Dhamma-samvega/ Dhamma Condolences for the Most Ven. Rector's mother

To The Most Ven. Prof. Dr. Phra Brahmapandit
Rector, MCU; Chairman, IABU/ICDV;
Abbot, Wat Prayuwonsaram, Bangkok

With profound sadness (dhamma-samvega) that we, the Association of the International Association of Buddhist Universities, have learnt the passing away of your beloved mother, Madam Thongsuk Meelerk, on 28th April 2015/2558 in Suphanburi Province, Thailand. We share with your great loss. Our thoughts and reflections are with you at this difficult time.

No doubt, Thongsuk Meelerk has been one of the most fortunate mothers on earth in having your Most Venerable as her son who has been leading the worldwide Buddhist communities brilliantly for many years.

With her own good kamma and with yours, we believe that your beloved mother will have a good rebirth, if she has to, and that she will continue to advance on the path of the dhamma.

Most Venerable Sir, may we be allowed to take this opportunity to share our merits with her.

May she be free from suffering.

Yours respectfully,
Phra Dr. Khammai Dhammasami DPhil
Executive Secretary, IABU &
Fellow and Trustee, Oxford Centre for Buddhist Studies,
Buddhist Chaplain to Oxford University, UK
